Fiona and Chef Nathan Gebert became the owners of The Wright Place On 6th in October.
They bring international influences and local affiliations to the Progressive Modern European Cuisine they offer.
Fiona is from London where she has held the position of Maitre‘d at an internationally renowned restaurant. Guests will be charmed by a lilting British accent as she welcomes them to enjoy a fine dining experience. Fiona is the General Manager.
Nathan grew up in Merrill. He said he developed a passion for food at an early age.
After studying culinary arts at The Arts Institute International in Minneapolis, he worked in Wisconsin kitchens before traveling to the United Kingdom. In England he honed his skills in award winning restaurants including Michelin star and AA rosette standard kitchens. During his training Nathan learned new modern European techniques. He led his own team and was honored with numerous achievements and awards including published five star reviews. Nathan was chef at a European destination restaurant before returning to Wisconsin.
A significant influence was Nathan’s work with Heart of England Fine Foods, an organization that showcased the importance of local, fresh, seasonal and fairly treated ingredients. He now emphasizes this progressive approach at The Wright Place On 6th.
Chef is teaching these new specialized techniques to his aspiring Wright Place chefs. They are intent on creating a new dining experience and attitude for local foods. A new kitchen will be installed in 2012.
Fiona and Nathan are focused on outrivaling their guests’ expectations with quality, creativity and freshness. All items on the seasonally changing menu will echo the significance of their purpose.
