Ed Robinson

Ed Robinson serves as a Senior Advisor to London & Pacific Healthcare and has been involved with contract research and development
services for more than 20 years, across several continents.
In the mid 1980s, he was an early member of Kodak’s
Life Sciences group, as business development director in the
BioProducts division in the area of diagnostic enzymes, amino
acids and nucleation products. As part of the founding management
team for Genencor International, Inc., Mr. Robinson was a
senior manager in a group that grew to more than $300 million
in annual sales from 1990 to 1997. During that time, he served
on the board of a joint venture with Kyowa Kakko in Japan
and negotiated the creation of a joint venture with an enzymes
company in Wuxi, China. Mr. Robinson also served as President
of Lonza Biologics. This company, previously Celltech Biologics,
became the world leader in the development and manufacturing
of monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins using mammalian
cell culture. During Mr. Robinson’s tenure, the company
made substantial changes in its business model to better serve
clients, advanced the GS technology for cell line development,
dramatically expanded manufacturing capacity, and grew sales
three times to more than $100 million. A number of drug projects
from that period have gone on to licensed use in the market
including Mylotarg, Xigris, Bexxar and Tysabri.

Mr. Robinson is the Chairman of ImagiSonix Inc, Worcester,
Massachusetts. He also currently serves as a non-executive
director for BAC BV, Naarden, The Netherlands; ProteinLogic
Ltd, Cambridge, UK; and deltaDOT Ltd, London, UK. Mr. Robinson
is a member of the advisory board for Fleming Family and Partners
Private Equity, London, UK and serves as an advisor to Frost
& Sullivan and its clients on strategic life science investments
in Europe and North America.

Mr. Robinson earned his MBA in Management at Rochester Institute
of Technology (Rochester, New York) and his BSc in Management
and Marketing at Clarkson University (Potsdam, New York).
He also completed an Advanced Management Program at Pennsylvania
State University.
